This is the first time I've seen baklava at a supermarket in the city where I live. In fact, I rarely see this anywhere. A 100 gm cost Rs 40. I haven't tasted it yet.
Nice! I haven't seen baklava back home-but then again, in the past several years, haven't spent much time there to speak of..I love baklava, a local shop has something that's delish, as it's not too sweet.A really great treat with tea/coffee, even without milk.
Rooma, more suckers in Bombay, I guess! ;) This was awful, just oozed fat, no taste at all. Jaya, I love baklava, didn't like this version. Musy, I suppose you'll get this only in the metros, and even then this is the first time I've seen it sold in this city - or maybe it was sold in another mall earlier but I think the shop folded up.
I saw in it bbay this time for 75Rs for 100 gms
ReplyDeleteSo it is cheaper in Madras than Bbay. Interesting. I am not a big fan of baklava though. Too flaky and buttery and sweet for my taste.
