Lone Mango

This picture has spring written all over it, doesn't it? The mango tree's leaves changing colour as the tree prepares to bear fruit, the sprays of buds/tiny fruit (inflorescence, is it - please pardon the technical ignorance and concentrate on the beauty of the writing), small, raw mangoes maturing into graceful green ones. Our neighbour's tree is really a sight for sore eyes that are preparing to go back to the computer no sooner than they came unstuck just a few minutes earlier.

  1. Poor thing!! Pluck it and relieve it's pain with some salt and chilli powder! :D

  2. It is already spring back in India. Lucky you. I can't wait for the mango season and this time I will be there relishing some.. Yeh Yeh!

Look around, if your neighbor is not there, pluck it and do what Asha said. ;) ..and let us know how it tasted. Ok!

  3. Sra, I did concentrate on the beauty of the writing. It is beautiful.
How come no weather update from Asha today?

BTW, did you have something to do with this article on Vaishali of Holy Cow? Here's the link:

  5. Asha, Siri, this is neighbour near office, so I can't do anything about it. A neighbouring house also has a beautiful mango tree, I'm not the type to steal/go ask them either - maybe I'll take a photo this time!
    Jaya, no, why?
Raaga, how nice. It's quite humid already.
